Horizontal, Vertical or Upright

There are 3 main types of Tube Chain Conveyor in the Schrage range to suit different needs and types of materials. This summary provides a brief insight to the three basic types.

 
Horizontal tube chain conveyor layout

Horizontal / Flat (tubes side by side)

  • Useful for any bulk material.
  • Our most commonly supplied conveyor.
  • Helpful when materials have poor flowability.
  • Ideal when vertical space is at a premium. (Can be fitted at height or underfloor).
  • Particularly good for coarse materials with large grain sizes.
 
Horizontal / Upright Tube Chain Conveyor

Horizontal / Upright (tubes one above the other)

  • Useful for bulk materials with smaller grain sizes, finer materials.
  • Selected for materials with good flowability.
  • Longer distances can be covered without supports.
  • Good for narrow spaces.
  • Excellent for conveying foodstuffs or materials which age as a round bottomed tensioner unit (minimises rest material).
 
Vertical Tube Chain Conveyor

Vertical (Used as a material elevator)

  • Useful for bulk materials with smaller grain sizes, finer materials.
  • Selected for materials with good flowability.
  • Longer distances can be covered without supports.
  • Good for narrow spaces.
  • Excellent for conveying foodstuffs or materials which age as a round bottomed tensioner unit (minimises rest material).
